Hmm, I'm going to have to investigate this. This used to be a bug when I first started coding the game, and it's interesting it's showing up again.

EDIT: if you don't mind me asking, could you post the specs of the machine you played this on? I'm noticing that the game speed is slower than I expected and I'd like to debug this too.

Sorry about that issue, the last build uploaded had an extension for Steam achievements left enabled and that's what was causing the issue.

The latest build should work as intended and should no longer throw an error.

Thank you for the report.  I've updated the game to the latest version, the game still "freezes" as it loads in all the assets, but I've made it so it loads it all on a Loading screen. The moment it is done, it will proceed to the main menu, at which point you should experience minimal loading.

I'm still working on optimizing texture loading.

With regards to the mouse cursor, I disabled cursor locking in the latest version, but I'll look into making sure there's nothing else at play here.

Hello, I noticed that the asset pack on the YYG site is for GMS 2 only. Will the version here work for GMS 1.4?

Volatile is a space exploration action-adventure game which, when finished, will play with the importance of actions and consequences.

I'm launching it on itch as an in-development project, for the price of $4.99, with the price set to increase once the project nears completion. My goal is to get some feedback with regards to the game and get a sense of what appeals to people and what does not about the game.
